Common Questions About Our White Plains Bakery
  • What are your current hours, and are you open on Mondays?

During the summer season, we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday through Friday we are open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. On Saturdays we are open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Sundays from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Hours can shift with the seasons, so if you are making a special trip, it is always a good idea to check back here or give us a call before heading over. We are located at 466 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, and parking is available in the back.
  • Is there parking available at the White Plains Bake Shoppe location?

Yes, parking is available in the back of our building at 466 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605. We know that finding a spot in the area can be a hassle, so we want to make sure that is one less thing to worry about when you come in. Whether you are stopping in for a quick morning pastry or picking up a large catering platter, just pull around to the back for convenient access to the shop.
  • What does it mean that your bakery is Certified Kosher, and does that affect non-Kosher customers?

Our entire production environment is Certified Kosher, which means every item we bake meets strict standards for ingredients, preparation, and handling. For non-Kosher customers, this is simply a sign of quality. Higher ingredient standards and careful production practices benefit everyone who walks through our door. We also offer Pareve (non-dairy) options alongside Dairy items, which is especially important for life-cycle events like Shiva platters or celebration orders. Please note: we are a Kosher-certified facility, not Halal-certified, so keep that in mind when placing specialty orders.
  • How far in advance do I need to place a custom cake order?

Custom cake orders, including our popular college acceptance cookie cakes and milestone birthday cakes, require advance notice so we can give your order the attention it deserves. We do not have a single fixed lead time, but we strongly recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially for weddings, graduations, and other significant events. The more detail you can share about your design, colors, and occasion, the better we can plan. Contact us at team@wpbakeshop.com to get started on your custom cake design.
  • Do you offer catering for corporate events or office breakfasts?

Yes, we offer corporate breakfast catering for businesses throughout the Westchester County area. Our Breakfast Pastry Platters come in small and large sizes and are a straightforward, reliable option for morning meetings and office events. Everything is baked fresh on-site daily, so your team gets the same scratch-made quality our neighborhood customers expect. For corporate catering inquiries, including pricing and logistics, please reach out to us at team@wpbakeshop.com so we can put together the right order for your group.
  • What is the Mazel Medley, and when would I order one?

The Mazel Medley is one of our signature celebration offerings. It includes a Celebration Challah paired with a 16-inch platter of mixed Pareve cookies and brownies. It is a great choice for any joyful life-cycle event, including baby namings, b'nai mitzvahs, engagements, or any occasion worth celebrating. Because the cookies and brownies are Pareve (non-dairy), the platter works well for a wide range of guests, including those observing Kosher dietary guidelines. Contact us in advance to place your order.
  • Can I order a Shiva platter, and what does it include?

Yes, we offer Shiva Platters specifically for the Jewish mourning period. These platters are thoughtfully prepared with the cultural and dietary needs of the occasion in mind, including Pareve (non-dairy) options to ensure compliance with Kosher meal requirements during a Shiva. We understand these orders are often time-sensitive and emotionally significant, so we do our best to accommodate your needs. Please reach out as early as possible at team@wpbakeshop.com to discuss your order, timing, and any specific requirements.
  • Is everything at the bakery made fresh on-site, or do you use pre-made or frozen products?

Everything at White Plains Bake Shoppe is baked from scratch on-site every single day. We do not ship in frozen dough or pre-made items. Our lead baker, Alissa Roldan, has been baking since she was 10 years old and brings over 35 years of hands-on expertise to the kitchen. This daily, scratch-made commitment is what sets us apart from many other bakeries in the Westchester area. When you pick up a cannoli, a black and white cookie, or a custom celebration cake from us, you are getting something made that morning with real ingredients and real care.
